Through spoken word poetry and public speaking, I share the complexity and ongoing nature of the recovery process with organizations, students and the public. I use art and story to build a heart connection with my audience as a foundation for deeper sharing and engaged learning. I see my work as “building bridges through self-expression and learning from the common threads we find there”.
I am available to collaborate with folks personally on projects that would be enhanced by art & story. As well as this, I offer Responsible Survivor Engagement Liason services to organizations that wish to develop survivor-friendly materials, events and/or programs or wish to engage survivors in research, coalitions, speaking/filming engagements and more. I want to support you in doing so in a way that respects the recovery process, supports and promotes survivor leadership and avoids the re-traumatization and re-exploitation of those with lived experience (survivors).
